Inspired by My Roots, I am not my hair!!

Image
So I was recently inspired by my roots. From the kinky nappy roots of the hair on top of my head I had an epiphany.  I had to come to the place where I realize that I am much deeper then surface, face, body, Hair and human. I am not my hair!   http://bit.ly/2xpylAP   Upon this journey of self discovery I learned a lot about my self, my worth, my value and  how I see myself.  Who knew deciding to wear my hair naturally curly would invoke a deep change, knowledge and awareness. 1. I am Super Natural with an emphasis on Natural. Formed from the dust born onto this earth with the breath of God soaring through my being. 2. Secondly I am not a hallow shell encapsulated by skin, bones, muscle, veins, blood and the whole anatomy. I am a Spirit being shining bright. I found me beneath the sea of weave, texture and perms. This lady wasn't just learning about her hair, the thickness, how to nurture her roots for me it's self  discovery. I'm so in tune w...

Inspired and Challenged to Change...Me

Image
Inspired: aroused, animated, or imbued with the spirit to do something, by or as if by supernatural or divine influence . (ref: Dictionary.com) There are many things that inspire me such as people, places and things I've encountered along my journey. Lately it's been regular people who do extra things to make other people lives worth living and those who impact our future in a positive way.     People make the world go round and make it a very interesting place to dwell.  I am easily encouraged by anyone who loves to encourage, motivate and teach others without wanting anything in return. ( Unselfish contributions to humanity, priceless! ) It's wonderful once you realize we are all connected in some form, the realization brings enlightenment and eternal change. Inspiration can come in many forms. It's powerful when it comes from a live individual who you've never even met or even spoken to. Today I came in contact with such a person, a s...

Do you have sense of urgency or Complacency?

Image
Urgent:  You should feel a sense of urgency when you are on the brink of greatness!  What are you expecting?  There should be a deep urgency within you to complete some task and a push to execute it When you are expecting: The feeling of being unstoppable and unbeatable will take control over you. ( I t's something you have do. You won't be satisfied until you have finished what you set out to do.) You'll no longer reason yourself out of the promise or prize awaiting you, you just accept the truth. You're the person with so much self- confidence that even those that are close to you are amazed at your power, presence and tenacity. ( Those watching you like the change, encourage the growth and are fascinated with your progress.) When you are on the brink of greatness you're focused and driven by your passion which is just the push you need! In critical times such as these we need to expect goodness but sometimes hindrances pop up!...

Preoccupied with your occupation. Just living

Image
Are you preoccupied with your current job- or place of employment? Most people are and don't even realize it but they do know they are not happy in their current position but what do they do about? "You don't have a occupation but a preoccupation " Dr. Myles Munroe. H e eloquently elaborates on the difference between having a job and a occupation, there's a big difference. For example ,   Y our ultimate occupation is that level of activity which produces substantial earnings-wealth and brings satisfaction to you and others it's something passionate to you. But being preoccupied in a position is when you are dissatisfied and underpaid in a position with no growth potential or opportunity to succeed.  After hearing that teaching sermon I took away a lot of knowledge. This is why I'm always in pursuit of purposeful living, you know being a satisfied productive member of society with gainful employment that's fulfilling. These words are...

Activate Operation Progression' Push

Image
Lack of progression, stuck in a rut and mundane moments are fatal flaws, so here's a gentle push to encourage you to move past your last accomplishment. Take inventory of what you are trying to accomplish next. (Then quiet yourself, make a plan and execute the desire burning within you. ) When? Now do the leg work that it requires to move into your next area of greatness Get motivated by remembering you've done great things before and will again. Know that redeeming the time is essential in your continual growth. Know your limitations and strengths use them for your benefit to accomplish task. Don't let lack of support, finances or time constraints stop you from moving ahead. Sometimes we hinder ourselves by pausing and letting distractions grab a hold of us. (Learn to recognize the detours on the road of life) Evaluate your current situation before you again get struck in a rut, then do something about! (It's possible you may have to try something...

Limit the excuses

Image
We can be our worst enemies in regards to the limits we place over ourselves. How many times have you decided you couldn't do something before you've even attempted the task? If you have answered this question honestly it's probably at least two or three times you can recall and that's just too many in my book.  Remember our only true limitations are those which exist past the efforts you've already exhausted, without yielded results. Have you tried to do everything within in your realm of possibilities and beyond to see a particular task to completion? If not try-try and try again. Often times we use any excuse to delay the inevitable. Such as, P aying bills, getting to work on time, calling someone back and moving forward. Complacency is a necessary evil that exist when you are trying to move to the next level. ( You can't let it drain you of your goals resist the temptation of throwing pity parties. ) Some things are destined to distrac...
