What do you crave?

Is it food, drugs, wisdom, sleep/rest, peace, Gods presence or chaos?

Whether you have asked yourself this question or not you do crave something on a regular basis. It's almost as near to you as the air you breathe, you may not even notice it but trust me those closest to you know.

Where do you fit?

  1.  Maybe you are like me, you crave and desire to be more like Christ! It's an innate desire to please the Lord and accomplish what you where sent to earth to do.
  2. Are you the one who awakes daily thinking of food the succulent taste and favors of your favorite appetizers, desserts, fruits and main dishes. (You think of food almost every minute of the day.)
  3. Maybe you're  that person who uses substance abuse to get through the day. You know alcoholic beverages that refresh your spirit or illegal drugs that dull your senses and delays the reality of real life.
  4. Could you possibly be that individual who is a techno junkie you need to know about the latest and greatest electronic gadget on the market. You are the one who must wait in line for the newest  portable device to be revealed a most have in your book. Yes, you'll even go broke to brag about your newest device that mini note book, phone, computer or 3-D television.
  5. Oh you are a wise one, that person who hungers and thirst for knowledge. Reading all the time seeking the truth and researching for yourself things that are said.  You may not be a genius but you know that knowledge is the key and it pays to follow hard after wisdom.
  6. Are you that person who likes to stir up strife, create destruction or mayhem wherever you dwell? You're the neighborhood gossiper, the office bully, the co-worker who always tries to hinder someone else progress or the church goer who likes to judge others because it's your duty. (No one likes to admit that they start chaos but trust me if this is you you know it.)

Find and know your position!

If you are confused about what category you fit in it's easy to find yourself out, just look in the mirror or record your daily routines. Trust me the truth will be revealed.

So you know who you are and you like what you see, now what?

  • How about you share your delightful self with others. Show them what you crave especially if it benefits you do something outside of yourself for a change.
  • What if you could turn your cravings into something positive and beautiful for all to see?
  • Or use your cravings to promote a good cause, just a thought?

Whatever you're craving just make sure it's not an addiction because there's a fine line between the two!!

  • Addiction: the state of being enslaved to a habit or practice or to something that is psychologically or physically habit-forming, as narcotics, to such an extent that its cessation causes severe trauma (ref: dictionary.com)
  • Craves: to long for; want greatly; desire eagerly (ref: dictionary.com)

If you need help it's out there I encourage you to get it!
It's alright to crave certain things but sometimes we go overboard on our desires which are only,  (wants) not (must haves)-such as our daily needs!
